Jöns Persson was born on 28 December 1743, in Västra Sallerup, Harjager, Malmöhus, Sweden as the son of Pär Månsson and Karna Olasdr. He married Gjertrud on 8 December 1771. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He died on 8 May 1807, in Borlunda, Frosta, Malmöhus, Sweden, at the age of 63.
