When Lene Vik was born on 1 June 1894, in Nord-Odal, Hedmark, Norway, her father, Hans Andersen Vik, was 47 and her mother, Mari Andersdatter Sollaust, was 46. She married Marius Nilsen Jordfetdalen in 1924. She died on 9 January 1957, in her hometown, at the age of 62.
