When Jens Christian Pedersen was born on 16 April 1818, in Ørum, Dronninglund, Nordjylland, Denmark, his father, Peder Jensen Villestrup, was 30 and his mother, Kjersten Jensdatter, was 37. He married Nicoline Jensdatter on 28 December 1853, in Horsens, Ålborghus, Denmark. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Nørre Tranders, Fleskum, Ålborg, Denmark for about 6 years. He died on 19 February 1875, in Horsens, Kær, Ålborg, Denmark, at the age of 56, and was buried in Horsens, Kær, Ålborg, Denmark.

1829 · Oldest Leather Goods in Denmark
Kuffert Sorensen was established in 1829 by Carl Peter Sorensen as a leather goods company. Today the business has five locations and each are run by a member of the Sorensen family.
1847 · Casino Theatre (Copenhagen)
The Casino Theatre was built as an entertainment center by Georg Carstensen but was converted into a theatre in 1848. After many years of never gaining popularity, it was closed in 1937 and demolished in 1960.
