He died on 23 May 1852, in Virgil, Cortland, New York, United States, at the age of 77.

History: The Palmatiers are descendants of Michel alias Michael Parmentier from Flanders, of Huguenot stock, who arrived in New Amsterdam in New Netherland (now New York City, NY) in 1663; see Parmentier .
