When Anna Lena Jansdotter was born on 30 October 1798, in Skultuna, Västmanland, Sweden, her father, Jan Henricsson, was 36 and her mother, Anna Olofsson, was 32. She married Anders Jacob Spongberg on 4 August 1816, in Söderfors, Uppsala, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 24 December 1873, in Sura, Västmanland, Sweden, at the age of 75.
