When Tuna Maloata Mulikieua was born in 1881, in Ha`ateiho, Tongatapu, Tonga, her father, Ma'u Simote, was 26 and her mother, Lupe Tuilelei, was 26. She married Fine Punouloi 'Otaivi in 1909, in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. She died on 15 March 1952, at the age of 71, and was buried in Tonga.
