When David Deloach was born about 1752, in Craven, Carolina, British Colonial America, his father, Michael Allison Deloatch, was 24 and his mother, Elizabeth Hart, was 22. He married Hannah Bostick about 1790, in South Carolina, United States. He died on 13 July 1815, in Hampton, South Carolina, United States, at the age of 64, and was buried in Deloach Cemetery, Allendale, Allendale, South Carolina, United States.

1776 · Battle of Sullivan's Island

On June 28, 1776, the Battle of Sullivan's Island takes place on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina. Since it is so close to Charelston, the battle is sometimes referred to as the First Siege of Charleston. This is the first time that the Americans had a victory against a land and sea attack by the British.

1786 · Shays' Rebellion

Caused by war veteran Daniel Shays, Shays' Rebellion was to protest economic and civil rights injustices that he and other farmers were seeing after the Revolutionary War. Because of the Rebellion it opened the eyes of the governing officials that the Articles of Confederation needed a reform. The Rebellion served as a guardrail when helping reform the United States Constitution.

Name Meaning

Altered form of French Desloges: habitational name, with fused preposition and definite article des ‘from the’, denoting someone from any of numerous places, especially in northern France (e.g. in Calvados and Haute-Marne), named Les Loges (see Deloge ).
