When Dinah Stille was born on 27 February 1751, in Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware, United States, her father, Jonathan Stille, was 42 and her mother, Magdalena Vandever, was 32. She married William Talley Jr. on 5 November 1768, in Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware, United States. They were the parents of at least 9 sons and 2 daughters. She died on 9 May 1812, in her hometown, at the age of 61, and was buried in Old Swedes Churchyard, Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware, United States.

1754 · French and Indian War in Delaware

From 1754-1763, the French and Indian War took place. The fighting that took place in the area of Delaware was in the upper Delaware River Valley. The Delaware Indians claimed independence from the Iroquois who allied with Britain. In 1755, Delaware attacked the Moravian settlement and Brodhead residence.

1764 · Western Boundary Surveyed

In 1764, Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon surveyed the western boundary of Delaware. This became part of the Mason-Dixon Line.
