He married Mary Magdalena Traxler about 1808, in Dublin Township, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, United States. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Dublin Township, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, United States for about 10 years and Bucyrus, Crawford, Ohio, United States in 1850. He died on 20 February 1866, in Canaan Township, Morrow, Ohio, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in Bethel Cemetery, Cardington Township, Morrow, Ohio, United States.
