Name Meaning

English: of Norman origin, a nickname for a boisterous person, from Old French revel ‘rebellious’, or perhaps the related noun, Middle English revel ‘rebellion, tumult, revelry’ (Old French reveler ‘to revel’). Alternatively, the name may also arise from the Middle English personal name Revel, itself from the adjective above.
