He married Brita Andersdotter on 13 November 1737, in Lugnås, Skaraborg, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 1 daughter. He died on 25 May 1772, in his hometown, at the age of 65, and was buried in Skaraborg, Sweden.
