When Anders Pedersson was born in 1669, in Västanfors, Västmanland, Sweden, his father, Peder Hansson, was 40 and his mother, Anna Pedersdotter, was 40. He married Brita Larsdotter on 13 October 1689, in Västerfärnebo, Västmanland, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 5 daughters. He died in 1719, at the age of 50.

1700 · The Great Northern War

By 1658, Sweden had become a great power in northern Europe. The Great Northern War from 1700 through 1721 resulted in the loss of land amassed by Sweden in areas such as Germany, Norway, and Denmark. Nearly 200,000 Swedes lost their lives due to the war while Sweden lost much of its dominance in the Baltic Region.
