When Bartholome Aebersold was born on 14 July 1711, in Münsingen, Bern, Switzerland, his father, Niklaus Aebersold, was 48 and his mother, Maria Küng, was 22. He married Elsbeth Christener on 17 July 1733, in Höchstetten, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 26 December 1777, at the age of 66, and was buried in Münsingen, Bern, Switzerland.
