He married Mary Elizabeth Jasper before 1775, in Albemarle, Virginia, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He registered for military service in 1831. He died on 7 June 1833, in Casey, Kentucky, United States, at the age of 84.
