When Hans Rudolf Egli was christened on 25 October 1739, in Fischenthal, Zürich, Switzerland, his father, Hans Jacob Egli, was 20 and his mother, Regula Egli, was 21. He married Anna Barbara Dikenman on 18 October 1768, in Switzerland. He died on 19 February 1773, in his hometown, at the age of 33.
