When Hans Heinrich was christened on 16 May 1680, in Fischenthal, Zürich, Switzerland, his father, Hans Egli, was 42 and his mother, Elsbeth Grimm, was 37. He married Susanna Wolfensperger on 12 October 1734. He died on 30 April 1766, in his hometown, at the age of 85.
