When Elisabetha Brassel was born on 14 February 1736, in Sankt Margrethen, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, her father, Johann Georg Prassel, was 31 and her mother, Anna Graf, was 27. She married Bartholome Ruesch in 1776. They were the parents of at least 2 sons. She died on 29 October 1796, at the age of 60.
