She married James Pratt in 1774, in North Carolina, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 5 daughters. She died in 1844, at the age of 87.

1767 · Tryon Palace

Built on August 26, 1767, the Tryon Palace became the capitol building for North Carolina. The building was named after William Tryon a British officer and colonial official.

1774 · Edenton Tea Party

On October 25, 1774, the Edenton Tea Party took place. It was the first organized women's protest. They put their cups down and refused to buy any tea.

English: from the Middle English and Older Scots personal name Gibb (a pet form of Gilbert) + son, hence ‘son of Gibb’. The name is very common in Ireland, having arrived in that country in the 17th century. It is also occasionally adopted for Ó Gibealláin, see Giblin .
