Hakan Petersson was born on 10 February 1786, in Bräkne-Hoby, Blekinge, Sweden as the son of Botil Mansdotter. He married Gertrud Nilsdotter on 11 July 1811, in Rödeby, Blekinge, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 4 daughters. He lived in Ronneby, Blekinge, Sweden in 1880. He died after 1886.
