He died in August 1896, in Carthage, Jasper, Missouri, United States, at the age of 90, and was buried in Park Cemetery, Carthage, Jasper, Missouri, United States.

1812 · Monumental Church Built

The Monumental Church was built between 1812-1814 on the sight where the Richmond Theatre fire had taken place. It is a monument to those that died in the fire.
