When Frank Alonzo Hoare was born on 2 October 1876, in Mineral Point, Iowa, Wisconsin, United States, his father, Richard D Hoare, was 28 and his mother, Nancy Jane Smith, was 24. He married Harriett "Hattie" Blanche Lovejoy on 18 November 1898. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 4 daughters. He lived in Chicago, Cook, Illinois, United States in 1900 and Farmvale Township, Williams, North Dakota, United States for about 10 years. He died on 3 May 1963, in Williston, Wallette, Dakota Territory, United States, at the age of 86, and was buried in Williston, Wallette, Dakota Territory, United States.

1881 · The Assassination of James Garfield
Garfield was shot twice by Charles J. Guitea at Railroad Station in Washington, D.C. on July 2, 1881. After eleven weeks of intensive and other care Garfield died in Elberon, New Jersey, the second of four presidents to be assassinated, following Abraham Lincoln.
1885 · The World's First Skyscraper
The Home Insurance Building is considered to be the first skyscraper in the world. It was supported both inside and outside by steel and metal that were deemed fireproof and also it was reinforced with concrete. It originally had ten stories but in 1891 two more were added.
