When Jacobus Heltorf was born in 1763, his father, Andreas Heltorf, was 44 and his mother, Christina Elizabeth Hausman, was 11. He married Ursula Kueppers on 17 February 1782. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. He died on 2 December 1814, in Neuss, Rhineland, Prussia, at the age of 51.
