When Elisha Childress was born from 1755 to 1774, his father, John Campbell Childress, was 34 and his mother, Elizabeth Armstrong, was 28. He married Nancy Beazley on 18 June 1791. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Salisbury, Rowan, North Carolina, United States in 1800 and Stokes, North Carolina, United States in 1801. He died before 23 May 1810.
