Catharine Elisabeth Gaetz was born on 17 March 1788, in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada as the daughter of Johann Jacob Gaetz and Mrs. Jacob Goetz. She married Friedrich Michael Pieter Publicover on 8 December 1813, in Nova Scotia, Canada. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 5 daughters. She died on 20 February 1875, in Blandford, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, at the age of 86.
