When Anna Gerig was christened on 11 June 1758, in Signau, Bern, Switzerland, her father, Christian Gerig, was 41 and her mother, Anna Schüpbach, was 41. She married Ulli Berger about 1780, in Langnau im Emmental, Bern, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 12 May 1819, at the age of 60.
