When Lupe Manu was born in 1920, in Lofanga, Ha'apai, Tonga, her father, Mosese Lauaki, was 30 and her mother, Lesila Finau Nganga, was 26. She died in 1984, in Eua, Tongatapu, Tonga, at the age of 64, and was buried in `Ohonua, 'Eua, Tonga.
