When Ole Stenersen was born about 1707, in Glemmen Kirke, Fredrikstad, Østfold, Norway, his father, Stener Olsen Smertu, was 54 and his mother, Gunhild Hansdatter, was 48. He married Kirsten Andersdatter on 21 November 1748. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. He died about 1797, in his hometown, at the age of 92, and was buried in Glemmen Kirke, Glemmen, Smaalenenes, Norway.
