He married Ingeborg Andersdotter about 1727, in Nissafors, Jönköping, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 14 May 1773, in Öreryd, Jönköping, Sweden, at the age of 64, and was buried in Öreryd, Jönköping, Sweden.
