When Halvor Eivindsson was born in 1707, in Bø, Hjartdal, Telemark, Norway, his father, Eivind Andressen Echen, was 27 and his mother, Mari Eriksdatter Roteberget, was 29. He married Mette Halvorsdatter in 1732, in Bø, Bratsberg, Norway. He died in 1737, in his hometown, at the age of 30.
