She married Samuel Osborn Doane on 7 January 1840, in Barrington Passage, Shelburne, Nova Scotia, Canada. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 1 daughter. She died on 27 November 1880, in her hometown, at the age of 66, and was buried in Riverhead, Barrington, Shelburne, Nova Scotia, Canada.
