When Anna Bollhalter was born on 6 November 1677, in Hemberg, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, her father, Caspar Bollhalter, was 31 and her mother, Barbel Brunner, was 32. She married Jacob Frey on 29 August 1700, in Hemberg, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 6 daughters. She died in June 1731, in her hometown, at the age of 53, and was buried in St. Peterzell, Sankt Gallen, Switzerland.
