Thomas Stacks was born in 1788, in North Carolina, United States as the son of Thomas Williams Stacks. He married Elizabeth Neighbors in 1815, in Newberry, South Carolina, United States. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Alabama, Stann Creek, Belize in 1850 and Tippah, Benton, Mississippi, United States in 1860. He died in 1866, in Tippah, Mississippi, United States, at the age of 78.
