When Elisabeth Sprenger was born on 25 December 1631, in Weinfelden, Thurgau, Switzerland, her father, Jakob Sprenger, was 26 and her mother, Margaretha Reinhart, was 23. She married Hans Stutz on 24 May 1648. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 5 daughters. She died on 21 April 1684, at the age of 52.
