When Hans Konrad Briner was born on 20 August 1810, in Bassersdorf, Zürich, Switzerland, his father, Conrad Bryner, was 18 and his mother, Barbara Geering, was 18. He married Louisa Christina Horzling in 1834, in Bassersdorf, Zürich, Switzerland. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 19 April 1861, at the age of 50.
