When Jöns Pehrsson was born on 11 April 1765, in Veberöd, Torna härad, Malmöhus, Sweden, his father, Pehr Jönsson, was 37 and his mother, Beretha Jönsdotter, was 23. He married Kjersti Bengtsdotter on 25 March 1788, in Lyngby, Malmöhus, Sweden. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 5 daughters. He died on 21 January 1834, in Jonstorp, Malmöhus, Sweden, at the age of 68, and was buried in Ängelholm, Kristianstad, Sweden.
