When Halatoafa Lehauli was born about 1897, in Tu`anekivale, Vava'u, Tonga, her father, 'Asipeli Leha'uli, was 24 and her mother, Manu Siosifate Tu'ivailala, was 22. She married Paula Nunu in 1930. She died in July 1941, at the age of 45, and was buried in Tu`anekivale, Vava'u, Tonga.
