He lived in Mercer, Missouri, United States in 1860 and Ravanna, Mercer, Missouri, United States for about 10 years. He registered for military service in 1863. He died on 17 September 1898, in Barnard, Lincoln, Kansas, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in Elkhorn Cemetery, Lincoln, Kansas, United States.
