When Nils Larson was born on 24 August 1782, in Augerum, Blekinge, Sweden, his father, Lars Hanson, was 33 and his mother, Kierstin Nilsdotter, was 28. He married Sissa Eskilsdotter on 19 March 1805. They were the parents of at least 8 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 6 May 1845, in Vinberga, Blekinge, Sweden, at the age of 62, and was buried in Ramdala, Blekinge, Sweden.
