When Fa'atuai Folasa was born about 1856, in Falelima, Samoa, her father, Sioeli Folasa, was 29 and her mother, Finoa Aloi, was 26. She married Lamauta Aiolupo from about 1881 to 1898, in Falelima, Samoa. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 1 daughter. She died on 6 March 1948, in her hometown, at the age of 93, and was buried in Falelima, Samoa.
