When Barbara Schneider was born on 14 February 1640, in Elm, Glarus, Switzerland, her father, Hans Schneider, was 45 and her mother, Anna Hauser, was 42. She married Salomon Zwicki on 30 April 1675. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. She died on 26 September 1703, in her hometown, at the age of 63.
