He married 'Anaseini Tupou Motulalo Kaho in 1934, in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 19 March 1994, in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga, at the age of 87, and was buried in Nuku'alofa, Tongatapu, Tonga.
