When Salome Kavatahi Lapota was born about 1774, in Neiafu, Vava'u, Tonga, her father, Lapota, was 36 and her mother, Ika Sii Eke, was 35. She married Isikeli Finau about 1794, in Neiafu, Vava'u, Tonga. They were the parents of at least 2 sons. She died about 1865, in her hometown, at the age of 93.
