When Asael Roundy was born on 27 January 1756, in Windham, Windham, Connecticut Colony, British Colonial America, his father, Samuel Roundy, was 22 and his mother, Anna Huntington, was 25. He registered for military service in 1777. He died on 7 January 1778, in Valley Forge, Schuylkill Township, Chester, Pennsylvania, United States, at the age of 21.
