When Andreas Schlenker was born on 10 August 1841, in Wittenberg, Bessarabia, Russian Empire, his father, Johann Schlenker, was 25 and his mother, Anna Maria Widmer, was 20. He married Catharina Stahl on 4 January 1863, in Tarutino, Bessarabia, Russian Empire. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 5 daughters. He immigrated to United States in 1893 and lived in North Dakota, United States in 1935 and Rusland Township, Wells, North Dakota, United States in 1940. He died on 1 July 1943, in Manfred, Wells, North Dakota, United States, at the age of 101, and was buried in Manfred, Wells, North Dakota, United States.

Caused by many crimes and breaking the Tenure of Office Act, Many Senators and House Representatives became angry with President Johnson and began discussions of his Impeachment. After a special session of Congress, the Articles of Impeachment were approved by the House and then the Senate. Making Andrew Johnson the first President to be Impeached.
