When Jakob Stucki was born on 6 November 1735, in Rothenbach, Bern, Switzerland, his father, Jacob Stucki, was 27 and his mother, Madle Langenegger, was 31. He married Anna ägerder on 1 October 1779. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 2 daughters. He died on 1 December 1812, in his hometown, at the age of 77.
