When Bendicht Stucki was born in September 1732, in Oppligen, Bern, Switzerland, his father, Jacob Stucki, was 24 and his mother, Madle Langenegger, was 28. He married Anna Jaberg on 4 January 1766, in Steffisburg, Bern, Switzerland. He died on 27 May 1810, in Röthenbach im Emmental, Bern, Switzerland, at the age of 77.
