Martha Jane Emery was born on 26 January 1862, in Monongalia, Virginia, United States as the daughter of George Emory and Susanna C Wilson. She married John Calvin Tennant about 1879. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 2 daughters. She lived in Harrisville, Ritchie, West Virginia, United States in 1910 and Fairmont, Marion, West Virginia, United States in 1940. She died on 14 May 1940, in Grant Town, Marion, West Virginia, United States, at the age of 78, and was buried in Daybrook, Monongalia, West Virginia, United States.

1864 · Arlington Cemetery

Arlington Cemetery is a military cemetery. It was originally a plantation owned by George Washington Parke Custis. This is the location of Robert E. Lee, 16,000 Civil War soldiers, William Howard Taft, John, Jackie, Robert, and Edward Kennedy. The tomb of the unknown soldier is also located here it was dedicated on November 11, 1921. It contains the remains of those soldiers unknown from WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam.
