She died on 27 July 1932, at the age of 87, and was buried in Fayette, Pennsylvania, United States.

1863 · Battle of Gettysburg

The three day Battle of Gettysburg was one of the bloodiest of the American Civil War. Between the Confederates and Unions, somewhere between 46,000 and 51,000 people died that day.

1868 · Impeach the President!

Caused by many crimes and breaking the Tenure of Office Act, Many Senators and House Representatives became angry with President Johnson and began discussions of his Impeachment. After a special session of Congress, the Articles of Impeachment were approved by the House and then the Senate. Making Andrew Johnson the first President to be Impeached.

Name Meaning

Scottish and northern Irish: Anglicized form of Gaelic Mac Ruaidhrí ‘son of Ruaidhrí’ (see Rorie ), a personal name derived from ruadh ‘red’ + ‘king’. There is possible influence from the Old Norse personal names Hróthrekr (see Roderick ) and Hróthgeirr (see Rogers 2), forms of which were used as Anglicized equivalents.
