When Aaron Kinney was born on 10 October 1773, in Sunbury, Northumberland, Pennsylvania, United States, his father, Capt Asa Kinne, was 50 and his mother, Bethiah Kimball, was 50. He married Mary Clingman on 7 December 1797, in Sunbury, Northumberland, Pennsylvania, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 8 daughters. He died on 10 April 1857, in Portsmouth, Scioto, Ohio, United States, at the age of 83, and was buried in Kinney Cemetery, Brush Creek Township, Scioto, Ohio, United States.

The First capital was temporary in New York City but by the second term of George Washington the Capital moved to Philadelphia for the following 10 years. Ultimately during the Presidency of John Adams, the Capital found a permanent home in the District of Columbia.
