When Caleb Greene was born on 31 August 1751, in East Greenwich, Kent, Rhode Island, British Colonial America, his father, Rufus Greene, was 39 and his mother, Martha Russell, was 35. He married Elizabeth Russell on 4 September 1774, in Dartmouth, Bristol, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 3 daughters. He died on 17 January 1828, in New Bedford, Bristol, Massachusetts, United States, at the age of 76.
